Positioned forward of this contemporary home, this spectacular infinity edge swimming pool and spa combination is a true showpiece. Maximising the elevated positioned of the house, it was a natural decision to incorporate an infinity edge into the design of the swimming pool. The living spaces feature full height windows that create a visual connection to the swimming pool from almost every room on the lower level.
The biggest benefit of an infinity edge is the connection to the landscape beyond that it creates. From water level, an infinity edge allows you to swim right up to the horizon and feel like you are in the garden, as opposed to feeling contained by the standard four sides of a standard swimming pool.
The generous proportions of the pool in the context of the residence make everything look ‘right’ – a nice balance has been achieved. A spa that is slightly longer than it is wide creates room for 10 adults to soak comfortably, and the 14 metre length of the swimming pool itself allows for abridged laps to be swum.
